New EV battery promises 1,000 km range and 10-minute charging

A joint research consortium spanning three continents has unveiled a working prototype of a solid-state electric vehicle battery that, in laboratory conditions, delivered over 1,000 kilometers of range on a single charge — and recharged from 10 to 80 percent in under ten minutes.

The breakthrough, if it can be successfully scaled for mass production, would represent the single most significant leap in EV technology in over a decade and could fundamentally reshape consumer attitudes toward electric mobility.

Automotive industry analysts are already speculating about which major manufacturer will be first to license the technology, with several reportedly already in advanced negotiations.
